HOW WE OPERATE

 

The school`s language program is delivered through face-to-face and virtual (online- Skype, Chat etc)teaching through the use of a professionally designed curriculum. Curiculum is also customised for specific language needs to suit specific clients.

English Language Course Duration

English language courses range in duration from 3 to 20 weeks. The length of your course will depend on your current language level and whether you want to continue with further study at LSDC.

LSDC ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE LEVELS

General English 
LSDC LANGUAGE LEVEL 1 & 2 (ELEMENTARY)

Beginner - 6 weeks
Elementary -  6 Weeks

Diagnostic and Placement Test

You will need to sit an online English placement test as part of your application. This test is free-of-charge. The LSDC Test has been designed to help you decide which of the five levels of the LSDC series is the most appropriate for you. Please note that the bandings are a guide. Based on your results in the test, we will recommend the level which you are to start from.

How long does each one of the courses last?

Each course lasts one term as follows:
„« The non-intensive terms last 6 weeks (2 one-hour sessions per week)
 
„« The semi-intensive terms last approx. 4 weeks (2 two-hour sessions per week)
 
„« The intensive terms last 3 weeks (2 three-hour sessions per week).

Each lesson is broken up into fifty-minute sessions, with a ten-minute break on the hour. We recommend a class of not more than 15 candidates for each group, to engender effective teacher-student bonding

What are the components of each course?

The course content includes reading, writing, audiovisual and speaking components as well as activities. The Course Description handout given to students upon registration includes a detailed description of the course components.
